Brink 1st Impressions - By David

Developer - Splash Damage

Publisher - Bethesda

Bearing in mind that this is merely a first impression of Brink, it appears that the fun to be had, and the problems to be felt are flying out in equal measures.
Lets start with what were all wondering, this game is good... Ok quite good.
Think unreal tournament 3, with amazing visuals, and you won’t be far off.
Theres plenty to like about this game, the objectives are fun, and a class system that means only certain members of the team can complete objectives is a clever way to force people into working together.
The game is also set up in a way that means that the integration between online and offline play is seamless, making it possible to do the exact same missions whether your playing online or offline.
Sadly though, this game is far from perfect. Many experiences of online play are riddled with frustration and lag.
The developers have clearly put a lot of thought into trying to make people work together, but sadly this doesn't always work, leaving the people trying to complete the objectives running back and forward trying to change classes, getting killed over and over.
Obviously there will be a full review on a winner is you over the coming days, but bare in mind that there is fun to be had with this game, but chances are there will be an equal amount of frustration too.
